Comment by JPD on August 30, 2011 at 7:29am Campaign for Liberty was there as well. One thing for sure, we are all thinking the same thing, so pulling the plug on the social networks will do what?

Comment by Elias Alias on August 29, 2011 at 10:54pm I agree with Vince, and acknowledge AZRanger's sentiments for sure. I damn sure appreciated all the heavy lifting work the militias did with security and support. I'll say this - New Mexico's contingent gave Stewart and I some valuable time together and those hands renewed my faith in America. I think we had a good meeting of the minds and I'm honored to work alongside those gentlemen, as I am with any Constitutionalist group. I am pleased that they'll work alongside Oath Keepers, because those guys get it. They're informed, aware, alert, active, and awesome. I feel like I made new friends in New Mexico.
I enjoy thinking of the power represented at Quartzsite this weekend. The Bikers were awesome. Ernest Hancock was awesome. Jordan Page was awesome. Tea Party, End The Fed, 911 Truth, I don't know if I can name every group who showed up and helped make the event a success. The "security" people were awesome. It was lots of people working together and representing various segments of today's American society and culture. We saw real people willing to do more than just talk on computer screens - people of many different sorts but all united in the passion to preserve America in the face of dire internal threats coming at us from a berserk government. I'll sleep better knowing that these good Americans from various States are on guard duty for the Republic.
I did not mention group/militia names because I'm not sure some of them would want the public recognition - a matter of discretion. And I wish I had got to meet with Arizona's militia men and women more than just a brief howdy in passing. There just weren't enough minutes in the weekend. Maybe if Arizona had been sportin' those broad-brim hats..... :-)
Love those hats!
Salute!
Elias
Comment by AZRanger on August 29, 2011 at 10:18pm Thank you Vince for your kind words. I did not take it as an intentional omission. Every one of the organizers had stuff going on up to their eyeballs and greater, and their dedication and hard work were the reason this event came off so well!
We were honored to be a part of such a historic event in the state and this movement. Thank you all for having us.

Comment by Vince Ansel on August 29, 2011 at 10:09pm I never even realized that the Arizona State Guard and another militia team from New Mexico were a part of the Quartzsite rally and march until AZRanger chimed in to share that fact. Every member of every Patriot Group is proud of the organization they have chosen to join and be a member of. It is a matter of professionalism and respect for these Groups to be mentioned as being a part of any collective process or event. In my personal opinion and for the sake of unity, it behooves any organization who enlists the assistance of other Groups for a Common Cause, to give those Groups the honorable mention that they deserve for their participation. I'm sure that it was merely an oversight and that no malicious intent to ignore certain groups was meant. Protocol and etiquette are definitely called for in this Movement to take Our Country Back! Our thanks to all who participated!!

Comment by AZRanger on August 29, 2011 at 9:36pm There are 2 groups not mentioned in the various thank-yous that also deserve a major thank you from the organizers. We were very well-thanked by the Oath Keepers, and the Sons of Liberty Riders, but it would be remiss not to acknowledge the contribution of the Arizona State Guard, and the other militia team from New Mexico who provided the security to all of the participants in the protest! I am not mentioning them by name, because I don't know if that is what they want.
We were glad to be there! This is not over by a long-shot, and we need to continually let the people of Quartzsite know that others care about their plight, and that they can still count on us to support their efforts to throw off the yoke of tyranny!
In the Spirit of Liberty,
AZRanger
Comment by Elias Alias on August 29, 2011 at 9:31pm Hey Michael and JPD,
Thank you both for good replies to my concerns. I am pleased to meet you both halfway as Michael has suggested, regarding Representative Seels. I would like to apologize for even having my finger in a political structure with which I'm not familiar, and if you looked into this last session of the Montana legislature you'd be very disappointed in Montana's liberty work - I hammered on our RINOs and "R"s and "D"s alike, and we had introduced into the legislature this January a Fully-Informed Jury bill, a Sound Money bill, a Sheriff First bill, various Nullification bills, and even with a new surge in "R"s who purported to be Tea Party type politicians (actually, up here we call them "citizen legislators"), we couldn't get one damned bill through - so I've had it with the political system myself, and will not throw any weight behind any damned Montana legislator who has either an "R" or a "D" beside his/her name. Period. If any State-level politician still thinks an "R" or "D" designation attached to their names is not a confession of political and Constitutional ignorance, they're wrong, in my opinion. But even with that aside, it's not my place to come in to your fields of political action and tell you what to think or see about your local politicians, so I do apologize for that, and will gladly hold as tentative any notions I may currently have. I'm sure you guys know the terrain there, and I don't.
I will however offer this - Oath Keepers is not a political organization, and in fact, we do not issue endorsements. We are an extremely narrowly focused psy-op organization and we do political combat in the mental war which is where, if we pause to think about it, the spiritual battle is being waged for the minds of the American citizenry. While we abhor the degradation which now marks political activity on all levels, we yet see that politics is related to governance, which (contrary to popular political thought) is yet related to the Constitution. We understand the value in the rule of law under a Republic form of government in which the democratic process is exercised as an expression of the voice of the people. We enter the fray in cases which involve the taking and honoring of one's Oath and whatever conflict arises when men or women of conscience become cognizant of their duty under that Oath.
I offer the above as a way of vaguely introducing you to where Oath Keepers is coming from. We do not wish to intrude into the Arizona liberty movement's political interpretations - you guys and girls have got it going and you're getting a lot done. All we wanted to do in both the Jose Guerena matter and at Quartzsite was to focus some light on Pima County's policy of SWAT use and in Quartzsite the brilliance of Sgt. Ponce and his fearless group of cops with conscience. We stand as best as we can, being a young organization without large assets, either against police-state BS or for the heroes who are willing to refuse unlawful orders to violate the rights of citizens. We cheer the good cops and point a finger of caution and admonition at the bad cops or bad police policy.
What Oath Keepers sees is that the true non-partisan political activism of the Tea Party movement is a human banner of hope for America, and Oath Keepers loves to work with the Tea Party. So keep your heads down in the front line bunkers down there, and stay in the shade every chance ya get, and please let us know if there is anything we can do to be helpful. Thank you both for the meeting of the minds.
And I thank Arizona and Quartzsite for all the wonderful (I should not say "warm", right?) reception and hospitality.
I'll be writing some stuff about Quartzsite for Oath Keepers' national site, so anyone willing to send some good still shots of the events are invited to send as jpegs to eliasalias@gmail.com
Thanks y'all.
Comment by Michael Bailey on August 29, 2011 at 9:12pm I can't let this go by without also giving credit where it is due to the Campaign for Liberty people and Riders USA. Every group we worked with did a great job in getting their folks out there and standing tall when called upon.
You guys should understand that I have already seen good people that I know personally go down the road and back with Carl Seel and his promises. Forgive me if I let a little of the redneck show when I look up and there he is again.
Elias Alias, Gerald Rhoades, Kelly Townsend, Mayor Foster, and most especially the Quartzsite 10, Mike Roth and Jennifer Jones all deserve the utmost in respect and honor for what was a successful event.
Carl Seel, you had better be forthcoming with a subpoena and I mean posthaste. You're going to be watched, and held accountable for that kind of a promise to the kind of men and women that make up the Quartzsite 10. Just like the crowd was chanting out there, "The World is Watching".
