There are many things we can do with this group.  With the number of members we have, we are bound to have enough to put together groups like:

A fife band

A stage band

A chorale group

LD22 has their own stage band made up of precinct committeemen - Eddie Cook plays bass guitar, and he was the one elected to the GIlbert Town council outright in the primary.  They played for us at a campaign event for the conservative candidates, which was quite fun!  Let's do something like this for GPTPP!

If you are interested, post a message and let us know what you can do!

PS.  Chris Rossiter plays a mean electric guitar!

Do we have any bass players or drummers?  Keyboard perhaps?

Who can I contact about playing in the West Valley?

I am interested in the music - I am used to playing 'fake' books and the 'real' books - anyone have any insight on what type of music we are talking about? I would like to get some individual practice in on the various songs so I am not playing 'cold' - jamming is cool too :-)

An acoustic guitar player, mostly chords and rhythm.  I perform weekly on my church's praise & worship team.

I'm also a bass & Guitar player, but I can't make it to Mesa regularly at this time. I have rehearsal space, P.A  & Piano plus assorted amps in N. Phx. if it works for other musicians.

Thanks Mary...we can use band instruments as well.  We have a great trumpet player.  Think variety show as far as the broad spectrum of things we hope to accomplish.  We'll include you on the announcements for the next practice.

I am a saxophone player - can sing mostly harmony - and can play other instruments too...

I'm retired, so just about anytime will work for me. How many do we have in the north end and what instruments?

What are the keys for the songs and has anyone done chord charts yet? If we get it on paper, it's easier for all!

I would expect everyone can read a chord chart?

Patriot602:  Let's get a practice set up at your location for North & West people to practice.

Wish I could have been there!  I'm going out of town on the weekend of the 8-10th of July, that the Saturday you're planning on?  If so, I promise that ONE of these days I'll be able to make it!!!  I'm hoping it will be soon!  What songs are you planning on having us practice?

Ok, we practised last night because the cancellation notice didnt reach everyone and some folks actually could make it who previously thought otherwise. We need a bass player and a drummer for the East Valley effort. there is interest in in another effort in North Valley. Ill send out a list of the six songs we are going to concentrate on for the next practice later today. Next practice is tentatively 10 am a week from Saturday at Rick's. Thx.
