There are many things we can do with this group.  With the number of members we have, we are bound to have enough to put together groups like:

A fife band

A stage band

A chorale group

LD22 has their own stage band made up of precinct committeemen - Eddie Cook plays bass guitar, and he was the one elected to the GIlbert Town council outright in the primary.  They played for us at a campaign event for the conservative candidates, which was quite fun!  Let's do something like this for GPTPP!

If you are interested, post a message and let us know what you can do!

PS.  Chris Rossiter plays a mean electric guitar!

Do we have any bass players or drummers?  Keyboard perhaps?

Any evening but Sunday and Monday, or any day, as I'm retired. I play lap steel & bass. There is a piano & P.A. here also.

Tu / 5h are out as that is when we start our new tea party groups in the East Valley. Anyone have a preference over a weekend vs week night?

Sounds good to me. I know I've got the Hal Leonard Ultimate Fake Book (3rd Edition) for Bb. Name the date and time and I'll be there.

Let's just pick a night or weekend day and see who can make it - would like to know instrumentation so we can cover the basics.  Those who can play more than one instrument may not want to carry a bunch of different axes...  I have a bunch of fake books - mostly for C but some for Bb, Eb too.  Anyone else?  Don't have any scores but once we determine what we need, we can get them.

I Have rehearsal space near 36th street & Cactus, right off the 51. How do we coordinate this?

Let's not wait to set this up. Do we have a location?

I'm a slightly out of practice Tenor Sax player up on Thunderbird and I-17 corridor. I wouldn't mind throwing down and playing.

My suggestion would be to keep it simple....musicians seem to come and go, way to fast. I recommend the key of G, for the National anthem, to facilitate more folks being able to sing along. (Everyone seems to want to start the song to high for normal folks.)

We still need someone to create at the minimum, chord charts for the material we want to learn. Any volunteers?

Those are great songs.  Here are several from Steve Vaus, a great patriot, friend of mine, and Grammy Award winner...He has about 30 great patriotic songs!
