At the Adams-Salmon debate last night at the East Valley Institute of Technology, why wasn't the issue of the Wisconsin recall brought up?
Sure, Mesa is far from Madison (or Milwaukee), but the issue remains the same: public sector forced unionism. Walker took on the public sector union bosses, partially stripping them of their monopoly bargaining privileges (but still allowing them to collect forced union dues). Ohio tried and failed; Indiana tried and succeeded.

Small government conservatives have long had issues with John Boehner's commitment to principles, specifically related to economic liberty and limited government. His all-too-cozy attitude to Beltway lobbyists is well known, and he's never been a fan of cutting spending.

The GPTP's sycophancy with Russell Pearce and Joe Arpaio is embarrassing and counter-productive. Neither are for limited government or free markets. Both are for "big government" conservatives who have supported that two most intrusive pieces of state legislation in the last 50 years -- employer sanctions and SB1070.
If anyone doubted this, they should look at their language. The justification for both laws is precisely what the Big Labor bosses have used in the last 60 years…Continue
