Eric Holder, Professional Racialist

Attorney General Eric Holder is a racialist.  In fact, he is a professional racialist.

Note that I am not calling Holder a racist.  That's different.  A racist is a person who believes there are significant differences in abilities or character among people of different races, attributes those differences directly to race, and almost always believes that…

"Occupy Wall Street" and the Flea Party Movement

Well, Occupy Wall Street is making its mark in cities all across America.

Little Obamavilles are sprouting up everywhere as the Left, driven in part by Tea-Party-envy and nostalgia for 1968, creates a new movement some have aptly named the Flea Party.

Memo to the Left:  It's been done before, and it's been done…

David Schweikert, AZ-5, Encounters MoveOn.Org

On Sept 1, 2011, Rep. David Schweikert, AZ CD5 held one of his Listening Sessions in Fountain Hills. This is the first Western-Free-Press-covered session at which there was a substantial presence from the Left, apparently called out by

Almost all the questions and topics came from the Left. Some questions were thoughtful, some were naïve, some were speeches rather than questions. There were frequent interruptions of both the questioners…

Debt Bondage, the US Congress, and a Show-Cause Order

Test text
Illustration: Seniors, seated in the wagon, either don't know or don't want to know that our children, both born and yet-to-be-born, are pulling that wagon and being forced into Debt Bondage, thanks to the malfeasance of multi-term members of Congress like those shown standing. Chu on Light Bulbs

Every now and then, an Obama official blurts out a remark that exposes the Left's philosophy so plainly and clearly that it sounds like poetry.

This past week, that honor goes to Energy Secretary…

If Progressives Were to Rewrite Our Constitution ... the Progressives were to re-write our Constitution, what would it look like?  One need look no further than the European Union Constitution (aka Lisbon Treaty of 2007).

To be sure, Progressives still pay lip service to…

California's Progressive Future Takes Shape

On January 2, I wrote a semi-satirical piece on California's rejection of Carly Fiorina and Meg Whitman in favor of Jerry Brown and Barbara Boxer for Governor and US Senator, respectively.  I sarcastically recommended several more ridiculous steps they might take to turn California into a true Progressive's Paradise.…

A New Breed of American Hero

They've trained long and hard. They're smart. They're an advance guard, watching out for us, our children, and our country. And for America, they willingly face huge odds and risk their personal freedoms to protect ours.  We seldom know their names or hear of their work.

Whom am I talking about? US Marines? Navy Seals? Army Delta Force, Rangers, or Green…

Take a few days to sulk and squabble -- but get ready for the Big One!

A lot of us AZ Conservatives are scratching our collective heads over the behavior of Messrs. Schweikert, Gosar, and Quayle in voting 'yes' on the latest CR.

Wasn't the CR strategy supposed to be about a serious quid pro quo

Given the fiscal Armageddon we're facing, we all expected the House would use the short-term CR process to extract huge concessions on spending in response for must-have continued spending legislation.  Where's the quid?  A $6 B cut? …

Word Games with the President

When speaking at a DNC fundraiser in Atlanta on August 2, the President cleverly invoked his automobile metaphor that Democrat and Drive are both "D" words, while Republican and Reverse are both "R" words. The audience laughed and cheered.

Here are some more "D" words the President might like to use in his next speech: Decline, Decay, Depression, Disdain, Duplicity, Despoilment, and Deceit.

And here are some…

Open Memo to Barack Obama

Really, Mr. President? Really?

In your September 14, 2009 speech on financial rescue and reform, you claimed:

"I have always been a strong believer in the power of the free market.”

And in your February 24, 2009 speech to Congress, you said :

“I asked this Congress to send me a recovery plan … not because I believe in bigger government - I don't.”

Really, Mr. President? Really?

Let’s look at the record. With…

Send a Strong Message to Washington -- Become a Citizen Signer of the Declaration of No Confidence

Dear Fellow American --

There comes a time in the life of a corporation or professional sports team when things aren't going well. The mood is sour, losses are mounting, innovations aren't working, old promises ring hollow, and top management appears to be rudderless and incompetent. At some point, the Board of Directors must call for the replacement of the top managers, however reluctantly.

In the case of the Executive- and Legislative-branch leaders of our Federal… Continue
