Hi folks - there appears to be questions about my background in outsourcing. I'm happy to have conversation about any and all aspects of the outsourcing industry.

For many "outsourcing" has an automatic assumption of pushing jobs offshore. This is a false assumption although clearly it is a major aspect of the industry.

Some have specific questions about my role in the companies I worked for. Also, willing to answer those questions.

However, trying to keep it brief, the company I worked for, Direct Alliance Corporation was a wholly owned subsidiary of Insight Enterprise, a publicly traded company (NSIT). I worked for Insight as a Vice President and was a partner in a consulting practice where Direct Alliance was a client - before I joined Direct Alliance as a full time employee.

Direct Alliance provided a complete outsourced solution so manufacturers could compete with the Dell direct sales/direct marketing model (e.g. specialized inside sales skills and processes). This was a company that brought jobs to Arizona. At it's peak the company added nearly 1,000 jobs in Tempe, Arizona and was a single location operator. Base salary for sales frequently started with a base of $24k with no cap on commission. Top sales people earned up to $300k per year. Manufacturers like IBM, HP, Compaq, Toshiba, Panasonic and others would outsource high cost jobs from their U.S. operations to Direct Alliance in Arizona which ran a much lower cost of operations. Even with highly compensated top performers the cost of operations was much lower in Arizona. Total cost was usually 6-10% of revenue.

Direct Alliance was bought by TeleTech, a global call center company (TTEC) on July 1, 2006. I left the company on June 30, 2007, along with five other executives. Basically TeleTech brought in their own management team, which is very common in acquisitions.

I'll stop here, but if anyone wants to talk further about outsourcing, how it works, why it works, what my role was, how to bring jobs back to America, etc., please call me on my cell phone at 602-692-3818.

Thanks - Ian

I know that a vote for McCain or Glassman is a vote for LA RAZA and the Unions to take Arizona and other states back to Mexico. That is the real Fight here. And if we don't get out there and do something we will let it happen. I for one am going out the door to put out signs for GILYEAT.this happen at the capital

Keith, 635,000 voted for mccain, how many truly democrats that didn't want jd to have chance at glasman? Don't you look for glasman to peck away and who mccain even more dispiccable? Are the independents truly independents, could they really like McCain? I may be wrong I expect most independents to be leaning conservative. That can't go well for McCain. Where will democrats who don't like glasmon go? Only hope voters go beyond two party box and start taking elections serious. Would anyone else call channel 3 about senator debate and ask them to get IAN GILLYEAT included? Phone or website. Green and libertarian party but not an independent? Sounds a little like discrimination.

I'm sorry Keith I wanted to input on your governor question not sure if this correct site, would almost like to see a group under tea party get into that subject also. It can be related because especially after debate and just thinking over past 2 years, then receiving property tax bill, BREWER IS WRONG FOR ARIZONA. No Goddard isn't right either. So I researched and studied BARRY HESS. He sounded better than both in deabate, his web site shows to be very sensible and true conservative. Remember before Brewer signed 1070 she had about 7% approval rating, do we realize we no longer own state buildings and property(scheme) , has anyone SEEN this balanced budget? Do you like the 18% increase in sales taxes, passed because she threatened everyone with NO law enforcement or education, How's our prison system, I'd rather see sherrif Joe take it over. Is the only real reason to sign and support 1070 the polls? I for one am getting away from the TWO PARTY BOX, we need REAL change, how will we get it if we stay with what they shove down our throats?

I don't understand how any conservative can say we have to back McCain. Has anybody watched his actions for 26 years? I just watched him on FOX NEWS SUNDAY, talk about depressing. Wallace tried to ask him why he sold his soul, not very convincing answer. It's good to be aware of all the negatives and the way things have always been and how things are supposed to work. I would just like to have everyone think "what can I do today that can get CONSERVATIVE IAN GILYEAT to beat and retire McCain. After we think DO SOMETHING. When you hear media try to spin country's problems how can we send an INCUMBENT back? A lot of states are doing their part can't ARIZONA rise to the need?

It would surely be nice. It's a shame that we really had two lousy choices in the primary were worthy. JD has a past that would have resurfaced. He talks a good game, but he's a creature of habbit, just like McCain.
Now many of us feel like we have to go with someone we all really dont want. We know how he'll behave once he's back in. Oh sure he'll put on a happy little conservative face for a short while, then he'll be back to DC and drunk on the kool aide, once he thinks we've all dozed off in to a deep slumber again.
